The Inner Path of Photography

We yearn for the taste of the sacred…and through our cameras discover it, the world, and ourselves.

“Moments of Awe…30 Days”

Life is filled with many moments of beauty,
filling us with the awe of being alive.

Come join me in “Moments of Awe…30 Days”

I invite you to post, once a day for 30 days,
something in your day that uplifts you, has happened to you,
or that you’ve captured through your art.

Postings can be a photograph, painting, a phrase or quote,
an observation, a poem you’ve written…
all in response to your day.

The daily practice of “Moments of Awe” is to remind us each day
of the small and large joys that are given to us –
and will allow us to deepen and make real
our connection to love and soulful living.

If you can post each day for 30 days, you will have built
a beautiful foundation for living in awe,
seeing and holding this feeling more and more easily.

If you’re a photographer, artist, or writer,
posting each day will deepen your practice.

Allowing yourself to be spontaneous,
non-attached to perfection,
and calling on spirit each day,
will result in your connecting even more
with all areas of your essence,
and creating the art that will inspire others.

Let’s share the miracle and mystery of our lives together.
I invite you to the practice of living your life –
creating your art –
from the place of Awe.

“Moments of Awe…30 Days” starts on Thursday, August 1 and ends Friday August 30. This is a free Facebook Group experience.

A Note from Heidi:

August finds me ready to try some new Inner Path experiences – and engage others in the fun. “Moments of Awe…30 Days” was inspired from my own delight in “capturing the awe” of my days and the need to my work more actively. I love being with others who feel the magic of life, so using the expansive connections of technology, I’m inviting all to experiment new ways of connection with me.

I’m starting with a Facebook group to try out the concept – but will look forward to offering other ways that I have in mind to dance together. Stay tuned! This first step is a reflection of not waiting for the perfect platform, or spending 6 months (too long!) putting the pieces together, in order to share my inspirations and ways of living life now.

Send me a note anytime! Let me know what you’re yearning for as you create your life and your art. Let’s enjoy living from the soul together.

“My life is a study in living with impermanence –
each day brings its own subtle or dramatic changes. The world is my studio.”

“Be”

A lone egret steps carefully at sunset, the pink glow and clouds reflected in the still water.

An Evening Meditation
(Master Egret inspires)

Slowly, carefully lift the foot… Hold…

now place it…gently, deliberately…

back into the water.

Pause.

Breathe.

Be.

No rush today. May you hold the inner silence.

A Note from Heidi:

July 2019 finds me in St. Petersburg, Florida, discovering new mysteries of the sea and sky, finding ever more companions in creating and exploring the world.  With each move, I experience a combination of the familiar plus the feeling of a foreign country – always new beginnings as well as deepening what has come before.  I look forward to sharing with you more about the inner journey, as well as the images that inspire me.

each day brings its own subtle or dramatic changes.

The world is my studio.”

About Heidi

“Blessings”

A window looks out on the marsh, blue water of the high tide, winter grasses, a billowing curtain, sun shining through

When I count my blessings

I count you twice.

(Happy St. Patricks Day.)

A Note from Heidi:

The picture above is a view from my winter home and studio on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It’s a short walk to First Encounter Beach, and at high tide, especially near times of the full moon, the sea comes in and covers the marsh. The view is constantly changing; sometimes it’s quite hard to concentrate on my work, as I look up and am once again in awe. The beautiful sky and clouds, the breeze rippling the water, and the happy paddling of the geese and ducks making their wonderful sounds – all bring me back to my soul.

Share the pleasure of changes with me…
